You know when you buy that one piece and you just want to wear it over and over again? Yeah, this top is that piece. Its hijab friendly and oh so flattering. I know there is some rule you can't wear white after Labor Day, but who cares? I say get it! It's a perfect item for this fall. Aaanddd it's under $30!!

Top: Zara // Jeans: Primark // Bag: Kate Spade // Shoes: Target // Scarf: Local
The first look I wore to a birthday party. This probably will be my go to outfit for the upcoming weekends. I paired it with skinny jeans and a nude pink hijab and leather flats. For the fall transition, pair it with culottes and a darker hijab maybe taupe or rust and cute loafers. I'm sure you'll see me wearing this exact outfit soon :)

Close up with some pretty flowers

Top: Zara // Shawl, Hijab, Pants: Pakistan // Shoes: Call it Spring (similar)
I secretly always loved big dupatta's but haven't worn them cause its an "aunty" look. So I was pretty ecstatic when these big embroidered dupatta's came back. I don't think most aunties were fond of my all white outfit, but hey I loved it! With this vibrant dupatta, how else could I really wear it? I wore a structured white top but made sure it was simple enough to make the dupatta stand out. Thankfully my mom had white straight pants to complete the look.

hope you all had a lovely long weekend.
stay tuned for my many many fall posts coming :)

Dress: H&M // Jeans & Bag: Forever 21 // Shoes: Zara // Scarf: Aldo // Jacket: She Inside // Watch: Daniel Wellington
One item you'll definitely see me wearing this spring and summer is the midi dress! They're really comfortable and most importantly very modest. After the baby, it's been hard adjusting and losing weight so this dress is my go to piece. They can be styled really easily too. I usually wear this with boyfriend jeans or tights. When it is a little chilly I like to throw on a leather jacket or even a duster coat. I love layering with a trench or duster coat cause it gives an illusion of looking taller too--which is key for my short 5'2 self, lol. Here are some of my other looks with my midi obsession!

Spring is finally around the corner! I'm definitely really excited for this weeks warmer weather. I love living on the east coast with four seasons but it's definitely difficult to keep transitioning every few months. Also..not wanting to give in to all the latest trends! I'm definitely trying to shop less and use what I have from season to season by just adding some staple pieces. We definitely have been consumed by fast fashion by just wanting to buy buy and buy! After watching the runway and this years spring collections, I put together 5 things that are trending this spring but are already in your closet! And if they're not, they are good basics to have for the future.

1. Sneakers
Dress: H&M // Coat: Boohoo // Scarf & Shoes: Zara // Bag: H&M
You've probably seen this trending everywhere. We all had a white pair of converse, kids or adidas in our closet somewhere. I did buy these during the winter. I usually wait a season or so to see if trends are here to stay and sneakers definitely are! You can invest in good ones such as adidas or nike but if you don't have the budget for it then definitely get these from Zara. H&M also have similar ones. They're comfy and my favorite part--super versatile. You can wear them on joggers, jeans and even dresses like I did here.

2. Denim Love
Top & Shoes: Target // Coat: Boohoo // Purse: Zara
I know you have a denim or chambray top in your closet. This is a spring staple that comes back every year. This year I was able to get in a much longer form. I prefer not to wear short tops so you know I was really excited when I found this at Target. Again, this dress is also really versatile.

3. Romantic Feels
Dress & Jeans: Forever 21 // Scarf & Bag: Zara // Shoes: Steve Madden
My go-to piece for spring summer is a maxi dress. And the fact how easy it is to find long sleeve maxi dresses is quite amazing. Do you remember the days we wore sleeveless maxi dresses with cardigans? Wow--I do not want to look at those pictures! This spring, its all about the romantic-victorian feels. Maxi dresses, lace, bell sleeves and so on. If you don't want to buy, just pull out last seasons flow maxi dresses!

4. White Out
Top: Forever 21 // Jeans & Bag: H&M // Shoes: Zara // Necklace: Aldo
White Button ups, tunics, long shirts were a common scene on the runway. We all definitely have some form of a white top. Pair it with some cute accessories and prints and you're ready to go!

5. 90s Sporty
Skirt & Bag & Shoes: Zara // Bomber Jacket: H&M
Lastly, the sporty look was everywhere! The tomboy inside of me is beyond ecstatic. This is one of my few purchases for this season. Short or long bomber jackets are everywhere and easy to find. I personally love long ones so it covers the behind ;) Mine is from H&M!

I have been wanting to do this post for the LONGEST time. I've had it saved but never had a chance to actually style a jumpsuit for you all. So finally here it is. I've found a few long sleeved jumpsuits but these sleeveless ones are easier to find. Here are three looks suitable for everyones style :)
 Fur Lovin'
Jumpsuit: Forever 21 // Fur Jacket: Joyce Leslie // Boots & Scarf: Forever 21
Even though spring fashion has it the stores, it's still freaking freezing here! I grabbed this fur jacket on sale from Joyce and its perfect to add a little sass on any outfit. Best part, it is pretty warm too. This look is good for day or night time.

Leather Crop
Jumpsuit: Forever 21 // Crop Top: Joyce Leslie // Necklace: Walmart
Crop tops are perfect for jumpsuits. You don't have to worry about any skin showing. I like this long as it gives an illusion of long legs, definitely something I don't have resulting in making short people like myself look tall! I paired it with a rhinestone necklace for some pizzazz. This is definitely perfect for a night out.

Ethnic Fusion
Jumpsuit: Forever 21 // Cardi: Pakistan // Shoes: H&M

Lastly, I styled it with this damask cardi I got made in Pakistan. What I love about jumpsuits is that they are also in pakistani fashion. It's fun to mix and match wardrobe from different cultures. Also, it's easy on the wallet too.

hope you enjoyed,
look out for next post on spring trends

As time passes by my style has definitely evolved. I sometimes like prints and sometimes I love color and sometimes I like everything. As fashion changes, of course so do I. Lately, I all I want to wear are neutrals. I love mixing different neutrals and having more a muted look lately. I'll add some color sometimes with my lipstick or bag but for the most part I mix up colors like black, nude, gray, taupe, tan and white. Here are some ootd's that all I wore were neutrals! I'm also starting something new on my blog by listing not just where the items are from but also the prices of each item. I mostly shop for a bargain but sometimes I splurge so it does vary. I hope this helps when you look for those items yourself:) Also check out some awesome finds I got from the Zara Sale! If you have a chance definitely check it out!

Maxi: Zara (sale) 19.99
Taupe Hijab: Zara Man 17.90
Leather Jacket: Target 39.99
Handbag: Zara (sale) 59.99
Infinity Scarf: H&M 14.99
Booties: Target 24.99
Sequin Top: Francesca's 29.99 (splurge)
Taupe Cardigan: Forever 21 19.99
Tube Skirt: Zara 15.99 (SALE!)
Heels: Call it Spring 29.99

Fur Vest: Cotton on 29.99
Pants: Zara 25.90
Striped Top: Zara 15.99 (SALE!)
White Scarf: Forever 21 9.80
Heels: H&M 24.99
Fur jacket: Marshalls 29.99
Necklace: Zara (sale) 9.99
Handbag: H&M 19.99

Neutrals may sound boring but as you can see there are so many inventive ways to pair different types of neutral prints, textures and styles together. My favorite neutral is that cogniac/tan color. I could buy anything in it!

Top: Turban Outfitters // Shoes: Nike Free 4.0 Flyknit // Coat: Boohoo
If you know my style, you know I LOVE long items of clothing. So when these duster coats started to trend, I jumped on this real quick! I love them for this fall and winter especially because they are so easy to wear and these coats are actually warm. The best fashion is the functional type! When I started to search for long coats, I couldn't find anything less then 100! After finally some research I found some nice, cheaper ones on www.boohoo.com. They shipped really quickly and are pretty good quality!

Secondly, this sneaker trend is another favorite. Again, functional fashion. I was going to buy the Roche Runs that many have but then I discovered those sneakers are not really meant for working out. I wanted to get a pair of sneakers that I actually could wear to the gym but still sport as fashion. I immediately fell in love with these Nike Fly Knits as soon as I tried them on. I feel like I'm just wearing socks. Although these were hefty on my wallet, I decided to invest in them since I haven't bought a pair in 5 years.

I paired my coat and kicks with this awesome Turban Outfitters tee that says "Freedom isn't Free". They have powerful shirts that are fashionable and send a positive message. I'll be posting some more looks with more of their shirts so keep a lookout!

Bag: Michael Kors // Coat: Boohoo // Shoes: Nike Fly Knits 4.0
I've always been a tomboy at heart and so happy I can bring some of that back. hope you can too :)
here are some of my favorite inspirations  ?

My favorite season is HERE! This is when you'll see the most posts and ootd's from me! I absolutely love this season. The weather, the breeze in the air, the colors, festivals and everything that comes with it. I probably love it so much because of my birthday! I did it pretty simple this year by spending it with my closest family and friends and it probably was the best one yet :)

The best thing about Fall is that every year many of the same colors and trends come back from the previous year with some add on's. Many of my clothes from last Fall are being used again this year! So on that note, here are 5 somethings to get for this season, some old and some new.

1. Something White
Leather Pants: H&M // Dress: Joyce Leslie // Scarf: Forever 21 // Bag: Aldo // Shoes: Zara
Something white is definitely needed for this fall. I know what they say about white after labor day but...oh well! I love a simple all white or black and white look. It screams classy and minimalist and you can probably put it all together from your closet now! I got this white dress from Joyce Leslie...yes I am surprised just as much as you. Every once in a while you can find some hidden gems in this store.

2. Something Oversized

Something oversized is definitely an old trend that keeps coming back for Fall and Winter. I love oversized capes and ponchos especially cause their so comfy and keep you warm in this chilly weather. You can find similar capes and ponchos really anywhere at Forever, H&M, Urban and Zara. They go perfectly with tights and cute loafers!
3. Something Pastel
Palestine Shirt: Turban Outfitters // Chambray: H&M // Scarf: Forever 21
Something pastel is definitely a new trend for the Fall. Although the usual jewel and fall tones are in this season, pastel colors are some fresh colors. They usually make an appearance during winter, but came a little early this season. I know I'm not complaining! I bought a light pink jacket, along with some pastel colored scarves! I was hesitant on some light hijab colors but I love the softness it brings.

Leather Jacket: Forever 21                                                                    Scarf: Forever 21

4. Something Sporty
Something sporty is street style that has finally made its way to the runway. Sweats, track pants and shirts are all appropriate for any occasion and can be dressed down or up. Also can be found for pretty cheap Forever 21 and other stores.
5. Something Ultra-Long
Cardigan: My mom // Pants: Cotton on // Shoes: Call it Spring // Scarf: Forever 21
Something ultra-long is a Hijabi's favorite trend. Long dresses, cardigans, jackets are all in for this season. I have many long cardigans, dusters, shirts and open dresses, but I have my eye on a long duster coat. Their so classy and add style to a simple tee and jeans.

So for my last minute friends, I decided to put a post together that would help you come up with an outfit if you haven't had time in Ramadan. You can easily put some cute looks together with items already in your closet!! I wasn't able to shoot a new outfit for you but here are some of my previous outfits that are so perfect for Eid!!

1) Statement Look

This is definitely a easy last minute look to put together. I actually am wearing something similar to this but instead with palazzo pants. If your desi, you know these kurtas are the best and all you need is a statement necklace. Forever 21, H&M and Zara have some really cute ones that you can buy even today. For my non desi folk, forever and zara have some similar long shirts. Also if you have those famous long sleeve dresses from Forever last year, this would be a perfect time to wear them!!

Statement Necklace: H&M, Zara

2) Black and White Ensemble

If you really aren't a color person and want it keep it neutral, then this is the look for you! I know you have a black skirt in your closet and a white top. You can pair it with any color hijab of your choice and a statement clutch to go. With this look, wear some cute shoes and bright lipstick and it'll really make the outfit pop for Eid :)

Similar shirt: Forever

3) Summer Lace

Here's a an easy outfit for my casual laid back folks. I know we've collected some colorful skirts over the years. Pair it with a fun lace top and a tan belt. The key to this outfit is to accessorize: watch, rings, the belt and lastly the bag. The bag really makes this look pop. Although my family goes all out for Eid, most people like to keep it simple. If so, this is perfect for you!

Dress: Urban Outfitters // Shirt, Tights, Sandals: Forever 21
I am loving these ethnic prints everywhere! From paisley and floral mixtures, to traditional native american prints and eastern inspired pieces. I recently found this amazing maxi dress online at Urban Outfitters. I couldn't resist mainly because it was on sale for $19.99 and was originally $99.99!! How could I say no? I'm digging slits in dresses and skirts, of course not too high but makes great room for comfort. I wore it to the beach all day and it is the perfect lightweight material for those hot summer days. Urban Outfitters is notorious for these ethnic type prints but can sometimes be steep in their prices. That's why, I always wait for their sales. They have amazing online sales and usually have most sizes too. I also purchased a blue/green paisley mixture jumpsuit as well. Since these prints are so loud, everything else should remain neutral. These prints are usually short term trends so I don't like to spend too much on them. They can found on maxi dresses, jumpsuits, trousers, tops, sweaters, and even on clutches. I personally don't wear them as hijabs as they are a little too wild for me but I've seen some pull it off well. Here are some of my other looks with ethnic prints :)

Here are some celebs wearing ethnic inspired looks.

I am in love with how these bloggers styled these ethnic bottoms.

Hope your inspired to get your own ethnic piece now :)
