Alhamdulillah, as you might have seen on my insta, I am expecting! It's definitely been hard not blogging about my journey but I definitely wanted to wait until I was further along. I am so excited and can't wait to share my journey. So throughout my pregnancy, I definitely feel there are some must haves to make it through. A huge part of me just always wants to wear sweats, and I definitely did in the beginning! But now especially with a little bump, I love dressing it up! Here are my first 5 Maternity Must Haves!
1. Maxi Dresses
I definitely live in maxi dresses as most pregnant woman do! The best part is that these days it is really easy to find long sleeves maxi dresses. For me, at least so far, I have been wearing regular clothes and just went up a size or two. I'm sure by the third trimester, I might have to get one or two maternity dresses. However, for now, a medium or large in regular clothes, does the job! These were definitely my savior during these hot summer days.

2. Long Tunics
Tunic & Pants: Forever 21 // Scarf: Zara
These are particularly ideal for first and second trimester before the bump really starts to make an appearance. It is harder to find these in maternity size so regular size tunics will last you during the first 6 months. I still am wearing these, especially to work, but I can see in a month or so most of them not fitting me. These are in most stores and are perfect with tights or boyfriend jeans!

3. Comfortable Flats
This is probably one of the most obvious items you would want while pregnant. It is definitely important to keep comfortable flats with you. I got these from Target and have other ones that I found at TJ Maxx that are affordable and really comfortable. I personally never liked heels so during pregnancy, I really only wear flats. Since you'll be sticking to flats often, definitely invest in a good pair.

4. Stretch Leggings
Top: Forever 21 // Scarf: Urban Outfitters // Shoes: Forever 21
If you're wearing maxi dresses and long tunics, you obviously need leggings to go with. Bottoms are the hardest during pregnancy mainly because once you hit month 5 or 6, most bottoms stop fitting. Up till now, I was wearing my regular leggings. However, with bump growing day by date (literally!) I bought some maternity leggings from H&M. I used to think that maternity band on the stomach was weird, but let me tell you...it is amazing!! It is super comfortable and also rounds out the belly underneath your shirts.

5.  Maternity Jeans
H&M
Last, but not least, we can't forget some classic jeans! Here, we have two options. Either you can buy maternity jeans or you can get waist expanders for your regular changes. It really all depends where you gain weight. If you gain weight just on you belly, you will do just fit with waist expanders that you can attach to all your pants. If you started to gain weight on your hips and thighs, then investing in one or two pairs of maternity jeans might be a good idea. I bought maternity jeans from H&M and the waist expander from amazon. Just depending on the type of jeans, some jeans still fit and some don't. So why not get both?

If you have been pregnant, what are some of your must haves? If not, try these out and let me know how it works!

So for my last minute friends, I decided to put a post together that would help you come up with an outfit if you haven't had time in Ramadan. You can easily put some cute looks together with items already in your closet!! I wasn't able to shoot a new outfit for you but here are some of my previous outfits that are so perfect for Eid!!

1) Statement Look

This is definitely a easy last minute look to put together. I actually am wearing something similar to this but instead with palazzo pants. If your desi, you know these kurtas are the best and all you need is a statement necklace. Forever 21, H&M and Zara have some really cute ones that you can buy even today. For my non desi folk, forever and zara have some similar long shirts. Also if you have those famous long sleeve dresses from Forever last year, this would be a perfect time to wear them!!

2) Black and White Ensemble

If you really aren't a color person and want it keep it neutral, then this is the look for you! I know you have a black skirt in your closet and a white top. You can pair it with any color hijab of your choice and a statement clutch to go. With this look, wear some cute shoes and bright lipstick and it'll really make the outfit pop for Eid :)

3) Summer Lace

Here's a an easy outfit for my casual laid back folks. I know we've collected some colorful skirts over the years. Pair it with a fun lace top and a tan belt. The key to this outfit is to accessorize: watch, rings, the belt and lastly the bag. The bag really makes this look pop. Although my family goes all out for Eid, most people like to keep it simple. If so, this is perfect for you!

Dress: Urban Outfitters // Shirt, Tights, Sandals: Forever 21
I am loving these ethnic prints everywhere! From paisley and floral mixtures, to traditional native american prints and eastern inspired pieces. I recently found this amazing maxi dress online at Urban Outfitters. I couldn't resist mainly because it was on sale for $19.99 and was originally $99.99!! How could I say no? I'm digging slits in dresses and skirts, of course not too high but makes great room for comfort. I wore it to the beach all day and it is the perfect lightweight material for those hot summer days. Urban Outfitters is notorious for these ethnic type prints but can sometimes be steep in their prices. That's why, I always wait for their sales. They have amazing online sales and usually have most sizes too. I also purchased a blue/green paisley mixture jumpsuit as well. Since these prints are so loud, everything else should remain neutral. These prints are usually short term trends so I don't like to spend too much on them. They can found on maxi dresses, jumpsuits, trousers, tops, sweaters, and even on clutches. I personally don't wear them as hijabs as they are a little too wild for me but I've seen some pull it off well. Here are some of my other looks with ethnic prints :)

I am in love with how these bloggers styled these ethnic bottoms.

Hope your inspired to get your own ethnic piece now :)

Salaam everyone!! I know it's been quite a while. I was consumed with finals but alhamdulilah am now free for the summer and will be posting a lot more, yay! So since everyone loved the One Skirt, 5 Looks post I figure I make it a series. In this one I'll be using a chambray/jean shirt. These are perfect for spring/summer. They can be found in different shades, lengths, and even now with prints like polka dot and ombre. They're super easy to pair with really anything and definitely a basic to have in your closet!
1) Chilly Nights
Chambray Shirt/Hijab: Forever 21 // Cardi: Blue Sky Boutique //  Pants: H&M
This outfit is a little older but can be easily worn in spring as well. The boots can be replaced with loafers or even ballet flats. Even though its spring, it's still a little chilly especially during the night. A chambray shirt is a perfect layering piece and here I used it as a buffer between the mixing of the two prints.
2)  Casually Comfy
Maxi Dress & Chambray Shirt: Forever 21 // Hijab: Express
Here I paired it with a bright orange maxi and cheetah hijab. It can be worn without the belt for more of a relaxed feel. I definitely would wear this out on a casual day. You can even open the buttons and wear it to the beach. Chambray shirts are neutral pieces that can be paired with so much!

3) Effortlessly Simple
Chambray Shirt, Skinny Pants, Headband: Forever 21 // Sandals: Target
My favorite combination, as you'll see in the next outfits, is chambray shirt, black and cognac accessories. Here I wore all black with a chambray shirt and cognac colored sandals from target with a floral headband. I wore this to class and would probably wear it on an errand day!

4) Minimalist
Maxi Skirt, Neon Bag: H&M // Chambray Shirt: Forever 21
Like I said, I love this combination! I wore a nude hijab (I've been really trying to avoid black hijab lately!) and added a pop of color with this neon bag from H&M! I wore this to my friend's graduation yesterday. I also kept the jewelry simple with a gold watch and some gold rings.

5) Floral Fun
Harem Pants: Cotton On // Chambray Shirt, Scarf: Forever 21 // Loaders: Aldo
Last, but not least, my favorite: harem pants! They are back this season and they are everywhere!! For now, I've only bought black ones since they're so easy to wear with everything but definitely will be getting some more prints and colors. I love all these loose trends (palazzo pants, maxi skirts) cause they're so perfect for modest clothing. My main problem is the hip area so even in some pants that have a loose fit are tight on me. Harem pants are just the perfect solution. Again I paired with a chambray shirt and a simple floral hijab.

Since a chambray top is more of a casual piece, all of the looks are more casual and day time. It can be dressed up with a statement necklace and a pleated maxi skirt, but still more of a day look. I definitely recommend getting one or two for your closet ;)
